Remove duplicates but keep the last occurrence in Excel
Excel's Remove Duplicates keeps the first row. Keep the latest row per key with a helper column.
Key in column A, data in A2:C1000. Helper in D2, fill down — TRUE marks the last occurrence:
=COUNTIF(A3:A$1001,A2)=0Then filter column D for FALSE and delete those rows, or in Excel 365 list the kept rows:
=FILTER(A2:C1000,D2:D1000=TRUE)CleanRows can keep the last or the most complete row without helper columns.
Do it in two clicks inside Excel. CleanRows for Excel highlights, deletes or moves duplicates by the columns you pick, ignores case/spaces/accents and compares two sheets. Free up to 1,000 rows. Install CleanRows for Excel →
