How to remove blank rows in Google Sheets

Delete empty rows without sorting your data, with a filter formula or one click.

Keep order, list only non-empty rows (table in A2:D):

=FILTER(A2:D, (A2:A<>"")+(B2:B<>"")+(C2:C<>"")+(D2:D<>""))

Delete in place: add a filter (Data → Create a filter), filter column A by Blanks, select the visible rows, right-click → Delete selected rows, then remove the filter. Check other columns first: a row blank in A may still have data elsewhere.

CleanRows → Clean → Delete empty rows only removes rows that are empty in every selected column.

Do it in two clicks inside Google Sheets. CleanRows highlights, deletes or moves duplicates by the columns you pick, ignores case/spaces/accents and compares two sheets. Free up to 1,000 rows. Get CleanRows →
