How to split full names into first and last name in Google Sheets
Split a name column with Split text to columns or SPLIT, and handle middle names.
Menu: select the column → Data → Split text to columns → separator Space. Make sure the columns to the right are empty.
Formula (spills into the next columns):
=SPLIT(A2, " ")First name and last name only, even with middle names:
